Breaking the chains and set yourself free!
Today, May 23rd, at 9:53 am EST, we celebrate a two-degree Full Moon in Sagittarius. This Full Moon comes with significant opposition that is important to talk about, and that is with Jupiter Venus. Both are at 29 degrees Taurus, only a few minutes apart.
We currently have three planets at 29 degrees: Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune. This is significant in their evolutionary action, finalizing their transit through the Zodiac sign. Neptune will take the longest because it moves around the Sun slowly, creating energy for completion.
Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign; it wants to move things to liberate or complete a cycle or experience. It is ruled by Jupiter, one of the planets opposite to the Full Moon, which shows up as an illumination to change or create a bridge to see something differently.Â
Sagittarius is a free spirit with a mission for expansion and wisdom, acting as "the breaker of chains"Â type of energy.
And Sag rules one of my favourite Houses, the Ninth House. The Ninth House cusps our midheaven, our highest peak of light, prompting us to master how we want to stand in our light and what we have come to learn and/or teach. Sagittarius will always push us, as fire typically does, to lean into this expansion on what makes us feel free and think bigger. Our purpose also has a story within this House of where we stand in our greatness. This Full Moon encourages us to review these themes.
A great mirror is being held up in front of us to look at this Full Moon. The Full Moon illuminates the energy this lunar cycle is expanding for us. Therefore, the fact that there is opposition to its planet's ruler, Jupiter, in an extreme degree of evolution, is asking us to break the chains that keep us in a cycle or a pattern that may look like scarcity, doubting our worth or not honouring our desires. That may look like sacrificing our true dreams and wishes because we fall into a safety cycle or want validation before we begin something.Â
BUT nothing changes if nothing changes…
With a 29-degree planetary position, an aspect of completion or death wants to be witnessed to evolve onto the next cosmic task. Gemini season is packed with intense Air energy, abundance, and heart energy. The transits will be coming out later today for Gemini season, so you guys can be prepared for it, but today on this Full Moon is an important day to look at:Â
"What are you breaking free from?"
"What chains have held you back from what you want to materialize or co-create in your life that maybe you have created restrictions around?"
This is a Full Moon of expanding energy pushing us into a new cycle. If you are waiting for validation to begin this expanding path, as Gemini energy might prompt, it is time to stand in the Archers' energy, keep your eye on the target of the arrow, and fuel this fire energy with action.Â
This Moon trines Neptune, ruling our dreams. Neptune can show us illusions, but that is a wounded aspect of Neptune. To stand in the evolved aspect of Neptune at 29 degrees is to break free from the illusion, which we are being called to do and take the cosmic invitation to let your dreams and imagination take over. This must, however, feel in alignment with the heart because this will be the primary prompt in Gemini season, even though Gemini is so strongly connected to the mind.Â
Co-creation is minimized when our desire is not aligned with our heart.
So, for this full Moon:
Reflect on what is being illuminated for you that you dream about that feels almost tangible, or you are impatient for it to come to life.
Write it down.
…And it is good to think big right now!
From that, can you find any threads that might hold you in a cycle where you are in a self-doubt or scarcity pattern?
Review what needs to be released and free yourself from some of your ideologies that aren't necessarily true. Gemini season will create a calling to stand in our truth. It's where you've made the box for yourself that Sag wants you to break free from—your inhibitions toward your dreams.Â
Create a statement of how you will stand outside of this box.
Feel how freeing this will be.
Reflect on what makes you feel free and claim the next gateway: that midhaven energy Sagittarius can take us to, where you can obtain the things that embody your greatness.
